I lot of people read this because it won the Best book for kids in 2006 and the author is very famous. I recommend the book because, it has drama, action, and funny. Also it has many cool Greek mythology stuff and gods in it. It even has the items that gods in Greek used. I relate this book to the book I want to read book three on this book and it relates a lot. I have read 13 books but, have not put all in the folder.

The book I am reading is called The Lightning Theft. I read the fifteen chapter. Percy, Annabeth, and Grover are going to L.A. on the train. Then Percy, Annabeth, and Grover gets off and to a dinner to eat because they were hungry. Then the met Ares the god of war, and Ares said to find his shield in the love ride in a park. So they go without Ares and find it, but the water starts to mive and Grover flies and takes Percy and Annabeth. Then they land and go to the dinner to pick up Ares.

The book I am reading is called The Lightning Theft. I read pages 81-91. The CTF game was on the Ares cabin vs cabin 11. Percy was in the position in the river and he was all by himself. Then the Ares cabin went and attack Percy all at once and Percy defended himself. Then he went the water and he got healed and defeated the Ares cabin. Then he sees Lick and he CTF.
If I were Percy I really would have ran away if the Ares cabin was attacking me and I would have cried all the way home.

The book I am reading is called The Lightning Theft , one of the foreshadow is that it has to do with Greek mythology and Latin. The Last one is that you have to read the book to understand the movie that is coming out soon.
One example of symbolism is that the eagle represent Zeus the god of the heavens. Also the second symbolism is that the horse represents Poseidon the god of the sea and wind.
The metaphor is that gods may have exist in the pass, but I still only believe in one god, God. The second is that gods if the exist were always getting women and having many kids in till they stooped, but that didn't happen well.
Percy is like my cousin Jimmy Jimmy likes to battle and I think Percy has a pure heart just like my cousin Jimmy. Also Mr. Brunner reminds me of my favorite teacher Ms. Vazquez, because ether always wanted the best of me, the most.

How Byron changes in The Wastons Go to Birmingham Essay
Byron is a bad brother in the beginning of the book but, now I notice that he is a good brother. In the beginning Byron was making fires, getting in trouble with Buphead, and causing trouble. He got in a gang even, so you are probably thinking how can he turn good after that. Well he does turn good. When Byron's mom burned his fingers and when his dad shaved his head it didn't have a affect. The day before the Wastons went to Birmingham to Gramma Sands house. By and Buphead were in the room, By said "I'm going to stay quite the whole trip, then they'll take me back." The reason why is because By was going to stay in Grandma Sands house for the whole summer or year, that is his punishment. Kenny was in the room and By said to Kenny don't tell, and By meant it.
One the whole trip from Flint to Albania (Birmingham) Byron stayed quite in till we were close to Albania. (Birmingham) Byron wanted to play a song on the ultra-glide. (radio) When he got to Grandma Sands the Albania heat was killing of us, it was so hot By staying outside during a whole day in a punishment. Then he all gave Grandma sands a hug. The next day By met Mr. Roberson and By was very interested in his story, also he was acting like a good boy. That same day By was acting good, I kinda think that this is part of his plan going back to Flint. It is not he is really changing. The next day we went to the lake, Grandma Sands said to us that go to the left lane because, in the right lane 1 kid died by a world pool. By and Kenny thought she said Wool Pool, Winnie the Pools evil twin brother.
Kenny went to the right lane on purpose By tryed to stop him. Then By heard Kenny and By saved Kenny from the wool pool. By was crying saying "Kenny,Kenny,Kenny..." Kenny just said "awww man." Kenny said awww man becaus ehe doesn't like seeing Byron acting good, Kenny is not use to it. Then one day there was a boom in Birmingham then Byron went to the church screaming Joetta cause' she went to church. The book I am reading is called The Lightning Theft. Chapter 2 pages 16-24 (half of chapter2) it is the best pages in the whole book. For weeks Percy asked for Mrs.Doods but people just give him a blank expression, than Percy got convinced. Then one night the board of his school (Yancy Academy) told Percy he has to go than Percy decided to do good on his final Latin test. Than the next night he went to Mr.Brunner's room and he heard Grover talking to him. The were talking about saying that the are worried about me. Also it is almost the end of the summer solstice. Than they heard Percy and Percy went to his room quickly. than about five minutues later Grover went in the room and Percy is asking him about the summer solstice. Gover was SO QUITE?
I would have done everything that Percy had done he asked questions to Grover at the end. What person would't and also he was very quick on what he did in his life that is what I see now.

Today it was burning I had to go get some cold air. So I went under a giant magnolia tree and it felt good, it was like a little break from the Albania sun. When I woke up I heard Momma about to yell for me. Than before she yelled my name she came outside and said "Well, I thought you'd wandered off. how are you this morning." "It was too hot to sleep" I said. " Think you can last one more week" Momma said, than I said "Uh-uh." Well, isn't better than winter up North" Momma said than I said " Quit teasing, Momma, you know it isn't. I wish I was back in our igloo in Flint." She laugh than went inside the house. I started going to sleep under the tree and thought I was dreaming when the noise came. I felt it more than I heard it. Doors opened all over the neighborhood." Than dad opened the door and said that it could have been a sonic bomb. Where the church was at , Joetta! When I went over there he didn't see Joetta and he saw to girls one the floor wearing blue and red dress. Than Kenny went home a Joetta was there clamming that she was chasing me?

We arrived to Gramma Sands house and Byron was acting like a good child. Everybody was hugging Gramma Sand it was hard cause' she was little. I think nobody wanted Gramma Sand to pop, like popcorn. If there was one thing I could not take is this Albania sun it was HOT! It was even hotter cause' I was from Flint it cold there and hot here. So I think I can't survive in Albania heat.

Byron sleep on the floor cause' he said it was a little colder. Than I went outside I said " Morning Dad. Morning, Mr. Robert. Morning, By." Byron just grunted and said " Man, you gotta quit drinking so much water, you sweated up the whole bed last night, i ain't sharing the bed with your leaky little bu--"--he looked at Dad--"with you leaky little self again."Mr. Robert said " You boys'll get used to the heat."Dad petted the dog and said, "He's to old to hunt?" " Oh yeah, that dog won't hunt no more. He's just like me, lost the desire. Both of us got to the point where we just couldn't pull the trigger. Both of us got to be just like Joe Louis toward the end . Remember his last fights,Daniel? Remember how Joe'd just walk around the ring waving that left fist like a threat, he just couldn't throw it, he just couldn't pull the trigger no more, his mind told him to do it but his body wouldn't cooperate. Today there was a funeral for the four girls who died the day of the church bombing. People were fighting cause' white folkes were the people who bombed the church. Every colored are protesting because whites can't just hate blacks for no reason. Dr. Luther King asked people not to seek revenge, but the people are still very angry. I hope this never happens again.

The book I am reading is called The Lightning Theft. I am going to read to you chapter 1 page 8-12. Percy pushes Nancy in the water fountain, it was like the water grabbed Nancy. Mrs. Dodds came up on to Percy and told him "come honey rrrrrrrrrrr" weirdly. Then when the were alone she jumped to him and turned to a fury and Greek mythology mythical creature. Then Mr. Brunner threw a pen and when Percy catches it it turned to a sword and HE SLASHED Mrs. Dodds. Then outside Mr. Brunner was just sitting down and toke his pen. Also no one knew who Mrs. Dodds was.

HW#71
The book I am reading is called The lightning Theft 3 quarters of Chapter 5. (20 long pages) It took me one hour to read it and also on my previous one it was CH 1 and now 5 because I like this chapter. Grover gets into Percy's mom's car, so does Percy and his mom, than Percy notice that Grover was half man half sheep. They ride fast it is a storming night, a figure was up ahead Percy's mom makes a quick right. Percy's mom is taking Percy to camp Half-Blood. ( a camp Percy's unknown father told Percy's mom to tsske Percy) percy's mom get's stuke in the mud inside the car. Everybody is O.K. expect for Grover. Percy's mom told Percy "go run, get out of the car go up the hill you'll see the bige tree go knock on the door." Percy said "NO MOM! Come lets go together" while the figure is walking towards the car " come on mom lets tak Grover with us." Percy;s mom said "O.K. lets go." They both take Grover while the figure got even closer that Percy notice it form his Latan class. IT WAS A MONTAUR! (half bull and half man) They all went up the hill Percy could say the place his mom was talking about. The montaur got up the car and sniff it a trew it far, it cannot see put smell good. Then the montaur target Percy, his mom, and poor Grover.
If I were Percy I would have not done what he did. The reason why is me I'll get run away far far away but, Percy is very brave. That is one of the many values that I like about Percy Jackson. When his mom said to go to tell you the truth I would have listen to her put I would have taken Grover. One and only because problay Percy's mom wanted to distract the montaur so it doesn't kill Percy. Also see that the montaur is real I already would have said to myself " Is Zeus, Posidon, Hades, and all the other gods real?"

HW#69
Outside of school in the year 2010 will be a good fresh start of me turning into a better person. First of all, I will stop making fun and teasing my little brother and sister. Second of all, I would stop playing video games like a crazing moron or idiot. Next, I will stop talking back to my parents, guardians, or/and any other adult older than me. Finally, I will start to help anybody that needs it, even if a like or dislike the person.
This year so far has been pretty good for me. I've done all my homework, I think a got good perception, and I have behave perfect not just in school, but at home too. To me 2010 says to me "work hard, have hard work, for a easy future." In the past years not just 2009 I've don not that good. Now I say to myself "yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that is why its called the present".

HW#68
The book I am reading is called The Lightning Theft. I read from page 8-12, it is quartar of chapter 1 it is long in words but short in pages it took me 30 min. So Percy could not say anything or do to Nancy because he was already was already probation, and he doesn't want to get in trouble with Mrs. Dodds. When the class arrived to the museum of art they only went to the ancient Greek mythology section. With the teacher Mr. Brunner, he is their Latin teacher, and favorite teacher. Mr. Brunner asked Percy and question on Greek mythology, Percy got half the question right but, Mr.Brunner accepts the best of Percy. Mr. Brunner told Percy " Percy Jackson I will only accept the best from you because, this is a matter of life and death." Then everyone goes outside to eat their lunch and that leaves Percy wondering "what does Mr. Brunner mean, life and deaf."
If I were Percy I would have done very thing he did. He made every correct possible explanation, saying, and doing. If I were him I would have sayed to Mr. Brunner at the begiining that Nancy was bothering me. He probly would have done something or at least say something, to Nancy.

HW#66
The book I am reading is called lightning theft. The pages I read were the pg1-8. In the book there is a kid name Percy Jackson he is a troubled kid, and got expelled 6 times in six years. The school he goes to is called Yancy academy, it is a school for troubles kids, and metal kids. Percy is now going to a trip to the Museum of art in Manhattan, all of his other trips he got in trouble or expelled, by a mistake.(he is a average, not good, not bad kid) He said to himself " I am going to behave my best." Grover the oldest kid(also Percy's only friend) was a victim of a sandwich throw down. Nancy a UGLY girl was throwing pieces of sandwich at him. Percy told him to calm down so they do not get in trouble by Mrs.Dodds.
If I were to be Percy I would try much more harder to get better grades and to listen to the teacher when talking. When his friend was getting sandwich pieces thrown at him I would just tell the teacher or chaperon. Also I've (a long time ago) would have told the principle about Nancy and her so could, issues.
